Family-owned and proudly local since 1974, we’re dedicated to honest repairs, quality service, and supporting the Rockford community every mile of the way.
For over five decades, Kurt’s Service Centers have been woven into the fabric of the Rockford community, earning the trust of local drivers and businesses alike. Our journey began in 1974 at the corner of Central and Cunningham with a simple mission: deliver honest, reliable auto and truck repairs—every time.
As Rockford grew, so did we. In 1999, we opened our second location on Harrison Avenue, making it even easier for folks across the city to access top-quality service. The following year, our own Chuck Kurt became a familiar voice on WNTA 1330 AM, sharing car care advice and building connections with listeners on The Doug Line Radio Show.
Today, our legacy continues. We remain a family-run, community-focused business, committed to keeping Rockford rolling—one car, one truck, and one neighbor at a time.
Owners Chuck and Ellen Kurt have always believed in giving back to the Rockford community they call home. As proud members of the Automotive Service Association (ASA) at the local, state, and national levels, Chuck’s leadership stands out—he’s served as president of the local ASA unit three times.
Kurt’s Service Centers are also committed to supporting local business and civic organizations. Since 1984, we’ve been active members of the Rockford Chamber of Commerce, and we proudly belong to the National Federation of Independent Businesses and the Heritage Kiwanis Club. Our roots in Rockford run deep, and our passion for community involvement is just as strong as our dedication to quality automotive service.
